Player Eligibility
Each participating team is required to provide a list of 12 players who will be eligible to participate in the tournament. There is no age limit imposed, allowing teams to showcase a diverse range of talents across different age groups. The tournament is open for all players globally without any restriction. From this pool, squad of 10 players will be selected for each game. Teams should carefully select and register their squad of 12 players before every match, ensuring they have a well-rounded and competitive lineup to represent them throughout the tournament. Players participating are not permitted to play for multiple clubs during the tournament. Once a player has been registered and assigned to a team, they are exclusively bound to that club for the duration of the tournament. Teams are required to report to the match venue at least 30 minutes before the kick-off time
Match Duration
Group Stage Matches
Each match consists of two halves, with each half lasting 15 minutes. The game is structured to maximize excitement and strategic gameplay within a condensed timeframe. After the completion of the first half, a 10-minute interval is provided for teams to regroup, make adjustments, and recharge their energy for the second half.
Final Match
In the final match of the tournament, the duration of each half will be extended to 20 minutes, maintaining the same 10-minute interval. This extended time in the final allows for a thrilling culmination of the tournament. If still tied, the winner will be determined by a penalty shootout (best of 5 penalties, followed by sudden death if necessary).
Substitutions
Teams may make substitutions during specified intervals or when the ball is out of play. The tournament embraces the concept of rolling substitutions to enhance the fluidity and competitiveness of the matches. This provides an opportunity for tactical adjustments, fresh legs, and strategic changes to maximize performance and adapt to different game situations
Offside Rule
There is no offside rule in this 7-a-side tournament.
Kick-ins
When the ball crosses the touchline, play is restarted with a kick-in instead of a throw-in. The kick-in is taken from the point where the ball crossed the line. Opponents must be at least 5 meters away from the spot of the kick-in. Direct kick to the goal is not allowed from kick-in.
Referee
To ensure fair play and uphold the spirit of the game, experienced and impartial KNVB referees will oversee each match. They will enforce the rules, make important decisions, and maintain the integrity of the competition. It is essential to acknowledge that the referee's decision during matches is final. Their judgment calls, based on the rules and regulations, will be upheld and respected, maintaining the fairness of the tournament.
Cards
a. Yellow Cards: Players receiving a yellow card will be cautioned by the referee for unsporting behavior, dissent, or other disciplinary infractions.
b. Red Cards: Players receiving a red card will be sent off the field and will be suspended for the subsequent match. Red cards can be issued for serious foul play, violent conduct, offensive language or gestures, or any other behavior deemed grossly unsporting or detrimental to the integrity of the game.
c. Suspension Duration: Suspensions resulting from 2 yellow cards in the same game or a direct red card will be served in the next scheduled match.
General Rules
In order to maintain a fair and competitive environment, all teams and players are required to adhere to the following rules:
a. Respect for the Game: Players, coaches, and spectators must display sportsmanship, treating opponents, referees, and officials with respect and dignity.
b. Code of Conduct: Participants are expected to conduct themselves in a responsible manner, refraining from any form of verbal or physical abuse, and avoiding any actions that may bring the tournament into disrepute.
c. Fair Play: Fouls, unsporting behavior, or intentional handballs will not be tolerated. Players must compete fairly, without resorting to unfair tactics that may compromise the integrity of the matches.
e. Conflict Resolution: In the event of conflicts, issues, or disputes that arise during the tournament, a dedicated committee will review the matter and make a final decision. The committee's role is to impartially assess the situation, consider all relevant factors, and provide a resolution that upholds the integrity of the competition
f. Football Attire: All players are required to wear appropriate football attire during matches. This includes wearing the official team jersey, shorts, socks, and suitable footwear. Additionally, jewelry, including necklaces, bracelets, earrings, or any other items that may pose a safety risk, should not be worn during matches
g. In the event of non-playable conditions, such as adverse weather conditions, unplayable pitch conditions, or other unforeseen circumstances, matches may be rescheduled in consultation with the tournament committee. The rescheduled date, time, and venue will be communicated to the teams, ensuring all parties have ample time to prepare and adjust their schedules accordingly
